| | What Is ClinicalTrials.gov?
ClinicalTrials.gov is a Web-based resource that provides patients, their family members, health care professionals, researchers, and the public with easy access to information on publicly and privately supported clinical studies on a wide range of diseases and conditions. The Web site is maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Information on ClinicalTrials.gov is provided and updated by the sponsor or principal investigator of the clinical study. Studies are generally submitted to the Web site (that is, registered) when they begin, and the information on the site is updated throughout the study. In some cases, results of the study are submitted after the study ends. This Web site and database of clinical studies is commonly referred to as a "registry and results database."

The European Union Clinical Trials Register allows you to search for protocol and results information on:
•interventional clinical trials that are conducted in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA);
•clinical trials conducted outside the EU / EEA that are linked to European paediatric-medicine development.

The EU Clinical Trials Register currently displays 31100 clinical trials with a EudraCT protocol, of which 4845 are clinical trials conducted with subjects less than 18 years old.
The register also displays information on 18700 older paediatric trials (in scope of Article 45 of the Paediatric Regulation (EC) No 1901/2006). |
| | El Registro Español de estudios clínicos (REec) es una base de datos pública, de uso libre y gratuito para todo usuario, accesible desde la página web de la AEMPS, cuyo objetivo es servir de fuente de información primaria en materia de estudios clínicos con medicamentos.
Su base legal se encuentra en el artículo 62.1 del texto refundido de la Ley de garantías y uso racional de los medicamentos y productos sanitarios, aprobado por el Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2015, de 24 de julio. Dicho precepto se ha desarrollado en los artículos 47 y 48 del Real Decreto 1090/2015, de 4 de diciembre por el que se regulan los ensayos clínicos con medicamentos, los Comités de Ética de la Investigación con medicamentos y el Registro Español de Estudios Clínicos.
